Gem Setting - Jan Preece
Ever wonder what makes a diamond or gem stand out in a ring? Jan will introduce the artistry of gem setting, and show the most popular techniques including claw setting, bezel setting, flushing, and more.
Wax Carving - CIndy Wang
Cindy will take you step-by-step through the sculpting process of carving wax to produce a working master. Wax carving is an important process in jewellery making as a hand-carved wax model transforms into a finished piece in precious metal.
Fine Jewellery Illustration and Color Rendering by Hand - Bianca Chong
Bianca brings craftsmanship to life by rendering jewellery designs by hand. Bianca will introduce rendering in 3 dimensional sketches; rendering gemstones in colors and precious metals on grey paper with use of gouache and water colors.
Traditional Hand Engraving - Stephany Gabriel
Hand engraving is the ancient art of carving out metal to create lettering, portraits, and a variety of creative choices, unmatched by that of machine and laser engraving. Hand engravers are a rare breed of artist of the finest. Stephany, a highly skilled classic Fine Hand Engraver, will demonstrate hand engraving techniques. Watch her work! You will be mesmerized.
