The creative process is the starting point of creating a piece of jewellery…but it is not about jewellery, it’s about how you think!
From brainstorming and mood boards to exploratory sketching, this course covers the journey from concept to creation of a design.

DRAWING
Technical Drawing & Perspective / Design Sketching
Develop your visual language, including perspective, speed and design sketching & technical drawing.
This course covers the fundamental techniques of creating detailed and accurate drawings using the grid structure
As an essential part of your visual language the course also covers perspective drawing, volume and design sketching.
ILLUSTRATION
The Traditional art of Gouache Illustration
This course covers the traditional technique of gouache illustration. This extensive curriculum spans cabochons and faceted gemstones, (with extensive exploration of different faceted cuts and shapes), through to metals, pearls and pavé.
Early modules look at brushwork, paint familiarisation and blending, whilst the later modules move into advanced exercises and templates.
