Hatton Studios relaunches website and rebrands to Hatton Jewellery Institute

Welcome to our new online space. Hatton Jewellery Institute (HJI), formerly Hatton Studios, was founded in 2012 by Creative Director and Founder of Melville Fine Jewellery, Nathalie Melville. London born and educated, Nathalie trained at the acclaimed Central St Martins, defining and honing her skills and learning the traditional craft of goldsmithing. A former apprentice at the famous Hatton Garden, Nathalie was inspired to establish a creative space for Jewellers and designers like herself in Hong Kong. A strong believer in making the fine jewellery industry more accessible and more sustainable, the concept quickly evolved into an establishment that not only supported the design community but inspires originality and creativity through technical design and jewellery making courses.

As the only dedicated space in Hong Kong with a focus on technical training, HJI has grown into a sought-after establishment by private students and the World's leading fine jewellery heritage brands including Chanel, Tiffany, DIOR, Piaget and more. Equipping the next generation of craftsmen and women with traditional skills, Hatton Studios embraces its new identity as Hatton Jewellery Institute - the largest independently owned creative space for education and corporate training in Hong Kong.

After 6 years of quality teaching, hosting co-working space and mentoring designers, the creative hub for the jewellery industry presents an impressive talented group of designers and alumni. The HJI Community showcases professional jewellers who have either once trained at HJI or share their expertise in silversmithery and jewellery design through our flexible course programme. On 12th September, HJI will host Jewellers In Action Experience Day. Enjoy a unique experience by taking a glimpse behind the scenes of the fine jewellery world.
