Understand brand DNA, how to design for both jewellery and non-jewellery brands and how to take on collaborative projects.

This hugely popular new course was launched in 2024. In collaboration with Central Saint Martins Short Courses, our latest design programme focuses on the essential skill of designing to a brief.

All classes are live - with recordings of each session made available to students immediately after class.

Upon completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from CSM.

  • - Month 1: expanding collections within an existing jewellery brand (including brand analysis and trends)

    - Month 2: creating a jewellery line for a non-jewellery brand (understanding brand aesthetics)

    - Month 3: Creating a high jewellery line for a high end brand (think Tiffany Blue Book - where it’s more about broader themes for individual pieces rather than a traditional collection)

  • Our founder and creative director, Nathalie Melville, a Central Saint Martins Short Course tutor herself will be leading this programme.

    With decades of experience in working on specific briefs, ranging from bespoke projects for private clients to ghost-designing collections for renowned brands, Nathalie brings a wealth of expertise to the curriculum.

CLASS structure:

x1 CSM lecture per month / 2hrs per lecture

x3 support sessions / 2hrs per session

x12 total

WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED?

  • A computer

  • A stable internet connection for video conferencing

  • A webcam and microphone

  • Design tools (List provided by HJI)

No previous experience required.
